Solid State Music

SSM (solid state music) used to make music-synthesizer IC's like VCO, VCF and VCA. Later, when synthesizers became digital they concentrated on VCA for audio (mixing consoles, compressors) app they "merged" into PMI that revived with a large range of exellent audio IC's. They finally merged into Analog Devices. AD still has got some IC's "SSM".
